‘Tis the season for cookies, holiday parties, and cocktails of course!
This is our favorite time of year at Milk Jar Cookies! We’re baking up a storm in our kitchen and hope that you are baking treats at home too, maybe even with our Bakebook!
While we will always love pairing our cookies with milk, we’ve also loved seeing the trend of unusual pairings. We set out on a mission to find the most festive cookie and cocktail pairings for your holiday parties, date nights, and more!
First up in our cookie and cocktail pairings is a rich Chocolate White Russian paired with our December seasonal hit, Peppermint Bark Cookie.
Ingredients:
- 3 oz. Vodka
- 2 oz. Kahlua
- 2 oz. heavy cream (or Rosa Brothers Whole Milk)
- 2 oz Ghirardelli Chocolate Syrup
- Ice
- Candy cane for decoration
- Peppermint Bark Cookie
Making the cocktail:
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker, shake vigorously to combine.
- Strain drink into a glass filled with ice and top with Candy Cane.
- Enjoy with your Peppermint Bark Cookie!
Next on the list, we’re whipping up a batch of White Christmas Mojitos that pair extraordinarily well with our Double Chocolate Chip Cookies! This recipe makes four servings, making it an easy (and delicious) drink to make when having friends over for a holiday movie night.
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup of fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup of packed mint leaves, plus more for garnish
- ½ cup of sugar
- ½ cup of white rum
- ½ cup of coconut milk
- 1 cup of canned coconut rum (whisk to remove any lumps)
- Sparkling water (to top)
- Pomegranate arils (for garnish)
- 4 Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
Making the cocktail:
- Using a large pitcher, muddle the mint leaves in the sugar + lime.
- Using a strainer, remove the muddled mint leaves (or keep them in, if you’d prefer a stronger mint taste).
- Add the white run, coconut run, and canned coconut milk to the pitcher and stir vigorously until all ingredients are combined well.
- Fill four glasses halfway full with ice, and then fill ¾ full with coconut rum mixture
- Top each glass with sparkling water. Then garnish with mint leaves and pomegranate arils.
- Enjoy with your Double Chocolate Chip cookies!
Our third and final cookie and cocktail pairing is a Holiday Margarita paired with our beloved Cinnamon Sugar Cookie. As a fun little twist, we made a batch of Holiday Margaritas and poured them into clear plastic ornaments in a bucket of ice. Once the party has started, you can use them to refill peoples margaritas or act as an extra festive holiday garnish.
Ingredients:
- 3 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz pomegranate juice
- ½ oz lime juice
- ½ oz Triple Sec (or any orange liqueur)
- 2 oz tequila
- Frozen cranberries, a sprig of rosemary, and ice for topping
- Cinnamon Sugar Cookie!
Making the cocktail:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker that is filled with ice
- Shake to combine
- Pour into glass. Can be served on the rocks or straight up.
- Top with frozen cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
- Enjoy with your delicious Cinnamon Sugar Cookie!
We hope these cookie and cocktail pairings bring a little extra cheer to your holiday parties, date nights, and more. Please enjoy responsibly. Must be 21+ to enjoy.
