"A Day in the Life" with Rue Magazine
Ever wonder what it's like to spend a day at the Milk Jar shop?
We got a visit from Rue Magazine, who faithfully followed us through a hectic day in the life of owner Courtney Cowan.
Ever wonder what it's like to spend a day at the Milk Jar shop?
We got a visit from Rue Magazine, who faithfully followed us through a hectic day in the life of owner Courtney Cowan.
Our fearless leader, Courtney Cowan, took a few moments away from the Milk Jar workshop to talk with Darling Magazine about why we should all seek a squad.
We are so thankful for all of you and your support of Milk Jar Cookies. Wishing you and yours a holiday full of love, gratefulness, laughter, and of course delicious food! See you Saturday!
Now that 5466 Wilshire was a blank shell, it was time to start the fun stuff! Throughout the month of demolition, we had also been working with the architects and contractor, figuring out the placement of each piece of equipment, countertop heights and lengths, etc., down to the 1/32 of an inch. And, though they would continue to change over the next 2 months, we had a solid set of plans with which to begin.
We've been wanting to write about the renovation of Milk Jar Cookies for a while now, so this begins a 3-part blog series that will detail tearing down the Quiznos that used to occupy 5466 Wilshire, through the design phase, to building out the cookie shop you now know.
As silly as these fake holidays are, today’s strikes a fun little chord with me. It reminds me of my childhood when this “cookie dream” of mine began.
Small businesses are an important part of our economy and culture, and it’s so great to see the revived desire to support the “little guys.” As National Small Business Week comes to a close, we’d like to highlight a few small businesses that we patronize, both personally and professionally. We hope you’ll pay them a visit!
We are currently scooping up these flavors...
Pardon us, but we’re going to get personal for a second. Blood cancer has, and continues to, affect the Milk Jar Family. No one wants to feel helpless when friends and family are in a time of need, so in honor of September being Blood Cancer Awareness Month, we are donating a portion of our proceeds all month to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
